MRS. JESSICA RIZK, LPC, MA

Jessica is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology for the University of Pittsburgh, and her Master of Art in Counseling from Geneva College. Since graduating she has worked in both higher education and private practice settings. Her ideal clientele are motivated individuals that are facing difficulty in their romantic relationships, and/or friendships, as well as those needing support in the perinatal and postpartum stages of motherhood.

Jessica understands first hand how cultural pressures, societal norms, people pleasing, perfectionism and self doubt can hinder one’s voice, and decision making processes. She also welcomes prospective clients interested in faith-based counseling, or the concept of believing in something greater than oneself.

During sessions, she aims to create a bias-free, judgement free, safe and supportive environment while bringing to light reoccurring themes that can prevent one from reaching their full potential. She does not shy away from challenging unrealistic, unhealthy thoughts or actions while offering new ways of thinking. Jessica’s counseling style has been referred to as a hybrid between empathetic counselor and life coach.

Jessica is also a Certified Specialist in Anger Management. She is drawn specifically to understanding anger and the powerful influence it has on men in romantic relationships. She’s also created the Anxious Attachment Romance Workbook.
